 [Shinichi still wasn't sure whether this was reality or a very confusing hallucination.  A god?  He'd never had much use for such things.  Detectives were creatures of the living world.  Things like religion and myth were left to others.  His interest had always been solely in the things humans did to one another.

But the evidence was here and deniable.  His very first action had been to return to his true age.  And here he was, appearing as a teenager for the first  time in months.  Appearing as a teenager without enduring intense pain for the first time in a year. 

He's tested it by going back forth several times.  As absurd as it seemed, the evidence was there.  Evidence he could not explain in any other way.]


When you have eliminated the impossible, whatever remains, however improbable, must be the truth.    Holmes said that, and I've never seen a reason to doubt it.  But... this is just too improbable.

[He sighs and continues pacing around the edges of Olympus as he thinks.]
