the very first.

You all look stunning.

[ A great feast is being held for all of you. ALL OF YOU when you come down from your little area in Olympus to see the most amazing layout of food in your entire lives. The Goddess of Love herself looks around you with intrigue. ]

Well, enjoy yourselves. And if you get along well... maybe fate had it in store for you?

[ ooc; OPENING PARTY POST, with a trick. Optionally, you might feel a pinprick of 'wow... that person looks amazing' before shaking it off. A little love at first sight that fades away in two seconds, leaving your character back to normal. Aphrodite can't help but have a little fun at your expense. With that out of the way! Party! Freak out! You're gods now! ]

Aa, I see.

It's all different, but still pretty good.

It's good because it's different! I haven't had a lot of this stuff, so it's super yummy! If I were used to it, it wouldn't be as good, would it?

You think so? I'm pretty used to some things that I still like better than this. Rice is a pretty good example.

Hmmmm, I don't know. Tomo usually only eats for sustenance, unless it's really good. Otherwise eating is boring when there's lots more fun things I can do that aren't so familiar!

[personal profile] wingbacked 2012-03-04 08:56 am (UTC)(link)
Huh. I tend to like familiar things, honestly. Things feel a little more natural when I've already handled them, I guess. But being curious is understandable too.

It's a pretty natural inclination to gravitate towards the familiar, I think! Plus the human mind can only handle so many things, after all, so having a focus group is good for mental acuity! And when you do something over and over again, you get lots better at it, so there's always more to learn there too. But without curiosity, everyone would just end up stagnating like Tomo.

Uwah, sorry, I didn't realize I was rambling! My partner usually snaps Tomo out of it, but he's not here right now...

[personal profile] wingbacked 2012-03-05 07:26 am (UTC)(link)
I don't really mind, it just kinda went over my head.

I'm glad! But oops, oops, that's no good. Hmmm, I guess it's like incompatible software, not everyone gets everything. Tomo will try not to ramble!

Something like that.
