the very first.

You all look stunning.

[ A great feast is being held for all of you. ALL OF YOU when you come down from your little area in Olympus to see the most amazing layout of food in your entire lives. The Goddess of Love herself looks around you with intrigue. ]

Well, enjoy yourselves. And if you get along well... maybe fate had it in store for you?

[ ooc; OPENING PARTY POST, with a trick. Optionally, you might feel a pinprick of 'wow... that person looks amazing' before shaking it off. A little love at first sight that fades away in two seconds, leaving your character back to normal. Aphrodite can't help but have a little fun at your expense. With that out of the way! Party! Freak out! You're gods now! ]

Wa, you don't seem too excited; is there something wrong??

[personal profile] wingbacked 2012-02-26 08:02 pm (UTC)(link)
I just don't get very excited.

Oh, good! Tomo's glad. I was wondering if someone had poisoned the food or something! But everyone's different after all.

[personal profile] wingbacked 2012-02-26 10:15 pm (UTC)(link)
Why would anyone poison the food?
bluesavant: (Smiling at me)

[personal profile] bluesavant 2012-02-26 10:21 pm (UTC)(link)
Why wouldn't they? Maybe they made us gods to harvest our immortal organs or something. Mmm, that might be a good plan, I think!

[ She takes an enormous bite out of her food for punctuation. ]

But you were eating a lot so I figured that the food might have been the reason. But if it's not, then it's not!

[personal profile] wingbacked 2012-02-26 10:48 pm (UTC)(link)
I dunno if gods have immortal organs. Even then, poisoned organs wouldn't be any good, would they?

If anything the food is reason to be excited.
bluesavant: (From far far away)

[personal profile] bluesavant 2012-02-26 11:04 pm (UTC)(link)
There are lots of poisons which would keep the organs unharmed, that I've read about! Hmmm, I don't know much about the bodies, though... It's hard to tell what's just fiction!

Isn't it! Uwah, such a yummy feast.

[personal profile] wingbacked 2012-02-27 02:47 am (UTC)(link)
I don't know that much about poison.

The fruit's not bad.

Poisons aren't the most common hobby for some reason. And, well, I think I'm supposed to be a goddess of knowledge, y' know! Even if I'm running on a half charge since my laptop doesn't work...

And the meat too! Though this is a way, way different sort of food from what we have at home!

[personal profile] wingbacked 2012-02-29 12:13 am (UTC)(link)
Aa, I see.

It's all different, but still pretty good.
bluesavant: (Nothing but Blue Skies from now on)

[personal profile] bluesavant 2012-02-29 06:52 am (UTC)(link)
It's good because it's different! I haven't had a lot of this stuff, so it's super yummy! If I were used to it, it wouldn't be as good, would it?

[personal profile] wingbacked 2012-03-01 04:02 am (UTC)(link)
You think so? I'm pretty used to some things that I still like better than this. Rice is a pretty good example.

Hmmmm, I don't know. Tomo usually only eats for sustenance, unless it's really good. Otherwise eating is boring when there's lots more fun things I can do that aren't so familiar!

[personal profile] wingbacked 2012-03-04 08:56 am (UTC)(link)
Huh. I tend to like familiar things, honestly. Things feel a little more natural when I've already handled them, I guess. But being curious is understandable too.
bluesavant: (Singing all day long)

[personal profile] bluesavant 2012-03-05 12:18 am (UTC)(link)
It's a pretty natural inclination to gravitate towards the familiar, I think! Plus the human mind can only handle so many things, after all, so having a focus group is good for mental acuity! And when you do something over and over again, you get lots better at it, so there's always more to learn there too. But without curiosity, everyone would just end up stagnating like Tomo.

... Uh-huh.

[ what ]
bluesavant: (She stumbled into faith and thought)

[personal profile] bluesavant 2012-03-05 12:39 am (UTC)(link)
Uwah, sorry, I didn't realize I was rambling! My partner usually snaps Tomo out of it, but he's not here right now...

[personal profile] wingbacked 2012-03-05 07:26 am (UTC)(link)
I don't really mind, it just kinda went over my head.
bluesavant: (She wasn't a child)

[personal profile] bluesavant 2012-03-05 07:44 am (UTC)(link)
I'm glad! But oops, oops, that's no good. Hmmm, I guess it's like incompatible software, not everyone gets everything. Tomo will try not to ramble!

[personal profile] wingbacked 2012-03-05 08:09 am (UTC)(link)
Something like that.
